I love the peace, tranquility and attention to living lightly on the land of Alpine Habitats. The cabins are clean and a beautiful space to work and rest in with a variety of wildlife to enjoy close up. I love the easy access to the mountains for hiking. Thanks again for a great stay.

This was our 2nd stay at Alpine Habitats and find it very relaxing. Good facilities in the eco-huts and the new tvs’ are great!! Having the Wildbrumby Schnapps place a short walk nearby is also convenient. Our 4yr old son loves the kangaroos & rabbits. Will come again, but need to come for longer to justify the 6 hr drive!!

This was our third time at Alpine Habitats, and we will keep coming back year after year. The cabins are beautifully appointed, with loads of space. The underfloor heating and fireplace keeps the cabin warm and cosy. We love the setting and the peace and quiet. An extra special thanks to Rocky, who was wonderfully understanding when our plans needed to change due to a death in the family, as he accommodated our needs with no fuss or extra charge. Thank you.

Fantastic place to sty in the snow. Very well appointed cabins complete with underfloor heating. Was great waking up to the deers and kangaroos. Will definitely book for our next trip.

Spacious, well appointed an cosy warm to return home to after a full day of cross country skiing. Perfect location for access to all ski areas and close to the restaurants and shops at Jindabyne plus the distillery and cafe just up the road. Loved the ethanol fireplace in the habitat! Will definitely be back next Winter and hopefully for a summer trip as well…….better get us on the mailing list Rocky ! Give Ernie the Jack Russell a pat for us, bye for now.

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Alpine habitats and couldn’t thank Rocky enough for the after hour key pick up arrangement. My nieces really enjoyed the accommodation especially their bedrooms with the little canopy. It was very nice to be so conveniently located, so close to the resorts and so close to the shops down at Jindy. It is so different to living in the big city which we really appreciated. Everything was perfect, except our outdoor light and our kitchen fluorescent light were out of order. We would love to stay there again on our next ski trip.

Our recent stay for 5 nights was our 4th time at Alpine Habitats. As always we thoroughly enjoy the setting with the cabin being spacious, warm and providing everything needed for 4 adults. We love the special touch of the provision of personal products in the bathroom. Overall a great venue with friendly staff. Perhaps an upgrade of the DVD player to a Blueray might help on rainy days when skiing isn’t an option. Will definitely be back again.

Our family of 5 (3 boys under 10) stayed three nights and enjoyed our wonderful comfort of in-floor heating and warm surroundings. Unfortunately, due to hectic ski commitments we did not get to spend too much daylight hours there but the boys loved the wildlife names on the residents & loved the kangaroos jumping along the track as we drove in! We will definitely recommend it as it is so close to ski tube & have choice of either resort. We will be back! Thank you for your help when booking at such short notice.

Everytime we stay at the Alpine Habitats we leave with such wonderful memories! It’s has everything you need for a home away from home. It’s so nice to walk into a walk home after a day skiing. It’s spacious and has brilliant drying racks and space for all. The kitchen and BBQ is a god send to our family of four. Peaceful and perfectly located we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. Thanks you Alpine Habitats once again, well be back before the 2013 ski season is out.

We loved our stay, everything was perfect. Very warm and the cabin had everything we needed. We had my mother with us who was visiting us from Perth and she couldn’t fault alpine habitats. We stayed 3 years ago and were very happy then and would definitely stay again and would recommend alpine habitat to others. July 2013

We only stayed two nights but had a lovely time. The room was very well equipped and beautifully warm. I particularly appreciated the recycling/green aspect as that is how we live at home. Next time we would stay longer as we didn’t get to look around Crackenback due to skiing commitments. Our stay was even capped off with snow as we were packing up – totally awesome. The meal we had at Crackenback Farm was delicious. The only improvement I could suggest would be some cushions on the couch. We hope to come back again.

Warm, clean, quiet and cosy. Plus next door to a distillery! My wife and I will definitely be visiting again.

Our first time there and we’ll be back again! Stayed there with our 1 and 3 year old and got the children’s theme package; they loved the toys and we loved the heated flooring for them. Fantastic location; we did Thredbo one day and Perisher the next and had Jindabyne close by for groceries. Fave part was walking back from tastings at the distillery across the road and watching the girls faces as a mob of kangaroos jumped the fences up ahead. Very enjoyable holiday.

We had a lovely stay over the Anzac Day holidays. The accomodation was really comfortable and warm. The hosts very friendly. The internet is a bit pricey but it is everywhere in Australian hotels. Anyway it is good to be away from that stuff. Mountain biking at Crackenback was great but the trout where too tricky to catch

Enjoyed our stay during a difficult time with catastrophic bushfire alerts etc. Unit was attractive and comfortable, view from the decking was lovely. Saw lots of birds, and roos, and brumbies from a distance. Got a bit hot on a 40 degree day, but what can you do? Internet?? Thanks for letting us use your wireless connection, Rocky. Will recommend to friends. Gave you a good review on Tripadvisor.

We stayed for 4 nights between 11/1 & 15/1. We all had a great time including our 1yr old Daughter. Highly recommend the Distillery for lunch!

We had a lovely stay last week. Although the weather was hot, the fans, open windows and strong breeze helped to lower the temps. The accommodation was lovely and the beds fantastically comfortable! After our previous (very basic) accommodation, the Alpine Habitats were sheer luxury. We had a slight mix-up with our cabin but all was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. Star gazing was fabulous, kangaroos feeding outside our habitat in the morning was lovely. You have a lot of rabbits, as we discovered one night! Maybe some rabbit proof fencing is needed? We’d happily stay here again.

My family and brother stayed 3 nights at a 2 bedroom habitat 4 weeks ago. There were ants in the pantry which was a bit gross, but it was more than compensated for by the extremely comfortable, well equipped accommodation. The kids loved seeing the kangaroos from the balcony, and the pony rides. The habitats’ proximity to Jindabyne and Thredo/Perisher made everything so easy, and the Wild Brumby Distillery up the road is just wonderful for grabbing a quick bite of German food, beer and schnapps! We are already talking about coming back next winter if not earlier in summer.

Perfect for a holiday in the Australian Alps. The key thing for me is its proximity to the main skiing and snowboarding spots.
